Like most people, I used to dread Mondays with a passion. But lately? They’ve become one of my favorite days of the week.
Mondays are now what I consider one of my days off, in a sense. Even though I still work all day, they’re when I’m able to spend the most time alone, recoup from the weekend, and prepare myself for the week ahead. Lately I’ve been trying to have little to no plans on Mondays so I can do exactly that.
Yesterday was a particularly great Monday. I woke up and had some devotional time before getting started with the week.

I’ve been loving the Bethel “Without Words” album – definitely recommended if you’re looking for music to relax and unwind to.

After a quick 30 minutes at the gym, I eased into the work day. First up was a blog post, followed by starting my normal 9-5 work routine.
And then of course, there was breakfast! I’ve been loving Udi’s bagels lately – half topped with almond butter, the other half with a fried egg. Perfection.

In the afternoon I usually take a break to run some errands, and yesterday I stumbled upon this great new natural market right around the corner. Now I won’t have to travel all the way to Whole Foods for some of my favorite healthy foods. And that’s like, a big deal, people.

One of the best things my laid-low Mondays? Being able to wear comfy clothes all. Day. Long.

Probably the main reason yesterday was a great Monday is because I treated myself to a massage after work. My back has been bothering me lately, and thanks to a deal on Lifebooker I feel a million times better!
I wrapped up the day by catching up on some more work and a bit of good old reality TV.
…Oh, and a cupcake. Just ‘cause.
(That would be a Ticklebelly White Out Cupcake, and it was CRAZY good.)

Do you enjoy Mondays? Why/why not?

I L.O.V.E Mondays! They have something fresh and new and getting up early to start with an energizing workout after a weekend full of rest just feels great.
Out of curiosity: what job are you working on that you can stay in your PJs the whole Monday?
I work for my dad’s real estate appraisal company. We cover multiple states, but the office is in PA so I work remotely from NY, and I love it!
I love this! Monday is my day off and it’s also the day of my women’s Bible study! So, I love Mondays! Thanks for the fun fact about them. I will be sure to re post it!
I used to have a women’s Bible study on Mondays too and loved it! It made me always have something to look forward to
Looks like a nice natural market! I wish there were more natural markets by me, and unfortunately, there isn’t a Whole Foods that is all that close, either. As far as Mondays, they aren’t all that bad, I like that I get a chance to start the week off fresh and make it better than the last!
If I lived in NYC, I couldn’t imagine how many cupcakes I would devour on a weekly basis. The only reason I don’t eat them a lot now is because they aren’t in walking distance so I can’t even imagine!
Haha yes, they’re everywhere! I was on a Crumb’s kick for a while, but I think I got it out of my system 😛
Your Monday looks so fabulous! I love exploring in natural food markets like that. My Mondays can get pretty crazy but thankfully my job doesn’t feel like WORK so I’m very blessed in a sense.
Aw that sounds like a nice way to spend a Monday!
Ahh, a massage. I really need to treat myself to one as well - my neck is so tight, even after 6 days per week at the gym + mixing in yoga!
I just found your blog and I love it! I love Mondays, too, because I love my job (I sell pet insurance and everyone brings their dogs to work!). But….I love me some weekends, too 😉
Dogs at work?! Sounds like the best job ever!
Thanks for the comment Darcy
