I’m in class now (I know, how responsible) and I want to look at this video so badly.

Is that your hair in the picture? Insane! I wonder if it would work with disgustingly thick hair, like mine. Hope so.

Have you mastered the ‘fishtail’ - that’s my next hair goal.

    Yeah. I have hair goals.

Yup, that’s my hair! I think it should work with any hair type - might just require more bobby pins…?

I haven’t mastered the fishtail! That should be my next hair goal too, huh? ;)

    Hey Gracie,
I have long and fine hair. I went out and bought one of the hair “doughnuts” that are meant to do the same thing as this. Did you have trouble covering the sock? Maybe the sock is smaller than the doughnut - I tried it once or twice but my hair was too fine to cover it :\

Thanks for linking to this :)

Hey Dana! After the bun was in place I had to adjust my hair a bit to make sure it was fully covering the sock, and then I secured it with a bobby pin. That did the trick!

I have watched this video a couple months ago and I was amazed with how good it is. I have long and thick hair, but when I practiced this shock bun I created a mess. I couldn’t get that tidy bun just like yours and the one in the video. I found that I need lots of bobby pin and it was uncomfortable in my head. On the other hand, I can’t switch the hair into bun without someone hand me a help.
And hey, I’ve mastered fishtail. It is so easy to do. The easiest from all kinds of braids I think. My goal now is to double cascade my hair.
