snickerdoodle cake batter blondies.

What do you get when you combine the flavors of a buttery cinnamon sugar cookie with the ooey-gooey texture of Cake Batter Blondies?

Well, duh.

ingredients:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl combine 2 tablespoons of sugar with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (this will be the topping), set aside. In a separate large bowl combine the cake mix and 3 teaspoons of cinnamon. Mix in the melted butter, then the beaten egg. Place batter in a greased 8×8 pan or 8-inch cake pan and top with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake for 20-23 minutes or just until the edges turn golden. Let cool for 30 minutes before cutting because the gooey center needs to set. The result will be a decadent, cake-batter texture.

Note that this version of Cake Batter Blondies has a shorter baking time and doesn’t require milk (because it uses so much butter instead, ahem).

These. Are. Phenom. I might even like them better than the original version.

Any suggestions for what spin on Cake Batter Blondies I make next?

There is no possible way to surpass the delicious amazingness of the original cake batter blondie but these might come close. My hips do not thank you for all these delicious variations 🙂 A carrot cake version would be ahhhmazing in the future but all the combos you come up with are. After all when the title includes “cake batter” and “blondes” there can be no bad combos!

Just so you know, I have my best friend (who cannot cook.. and I mean, she has been known to set her oven on FIRE) able to very successfully make the blondies AND addicted to them. They are pretttty much amazing. And now this recipe is a must make!

Wow. I don’t whether to say that I cannot wait to make these or that I cannot wait to EAT these, perhaps both! And, frankly, the use of butter can only be good…at least for the taste 😉
I honestly don’t know what other kind of cake batter blondies I would want to see, but I’m sure you’ll come up with some amazing variations. 🙂

Baking right now, but I totally screwed up the recipe and did softened butter instead of melted… Well, we will see how this turns out! 😛 Smells good, though!

I’ve made these three times now, and my family and friends are in love with me for them. The last two times I’ve added around half a bag of white chocolate chips to the recipe, and it makes this heavenly recipe even more amazing. (Hard to imagine, I know) <3

I just made these for the first time. My roommate, who is a nutrition major and usually yells at me for making sugary treats, took one bite before looking at me and saying, “Make these for my birthday.” That’s a sure sign of a hit! These will definitely be one of my new go-to recipes. Thanks so much!

I have been meaning to make these for a long time but finally got around to it tonight and holy crap why did I wait so long?! These are amazing! I also added half a bag of white chocolate chips to them but I think either way will be amazing!
