When people say to me “that’s so you” or “you would,” I sometimes wonder if it’s a good thing…or if it means that I just have a lot of weird quirks.
Either way, I like how everyone has their own typicalities. It’s what makes life interesting, no?
That brings me to last night’s dinner, which was probably the most typical thing I’ve ever eaten. Cake. Batter. Pancakes.

I must’ve been going through some sort of crisis when Jessica first posted this recipe a few months ago, which is the only reason that would explain why I didn’t make these right away…
…because cake batter, pancakes, and sprinkles are pretty much my three essential food groups.
I topped this (whole wheat) short stack with coconut butter and a shimmy of assorted of sprinkles, for what could quite possibly be what I’ll be eating for the next week straight. Can you blame me?

What are some things that others would say are very “you?”

Eating breakfast at all hours of the day, eating ALL the time, getting lettuce stuck in my teeth, spilling stuff on myself…you know, the uge:)
Bahahaha YOU WOULD. Very me? Whipping fruit out of my purse
Bahahaha that so is you, Gracie! Very me is eating ALL FECKIN DAY, anything with spinach, or good bread!
Haha those pancakes are SO you!
Eating tons of yogurt, anything involving sushi, and patterned skirts are so me!
Those look so good! Eating pumpkin straight from the can (I told this to my co-worker and got a “I’m weirded-out” look back), eating breakfast food for every meal, and skinny jeans and flats are probably three things that other would say are very me.
others*
Dresses and getting over excited about anything tv or Broadway related. Like, when I found out Jonathan Groff was coming back to Glee I was practically flailing and all my friends made fun of me. haha
I would? Hmm… I would spend my entire spring break in my kitchen concocting up new recipes. OR I would have a dance party all by myself - no big deal.
I “so would?” Eat breakfast all day, every day. It’s a concern.
yum those look so amazing… cake batter pancakes. anything that encompasses breakfast and dessert is amazing and so ‘me’
So me? Eating cake with ice cream for breakfast,or not answering my cell phone, are things that are so perdictable of me
also not putting clothes away…my mom called it my floor-drobe.
I have this habit of coining sayings that are “so me.” For a while, it was using the word “jealous” in high school … then “minus” if something was off. They’re weird, but aren’t we all? Other than that — my friends joke about my tendency to do a ridiculous amount of productive things early in the morning. I supossseee it’s just in my nature
Oh cake batter….. Things that are so me? Finding myself shopping even when I’m poor and need NOTHING, drinking my weight in coffee, finding half my lunch on my t-shirt!
I just found your blog! I love it. These look and sound so good. Have a great day
When people see pink or barbie stuff they always say that’s “so me”.
Yay, thanks for stopping by, Britt!!
xoxo
they look divine! yummmm
Hooray! I have yet to make those but still need to. I think I’m going to wait til July for my birthday. Happy day, friend!
oh my gosh these look absolutely amazing! I love sprinkles, even though people claim that it’s worthless since they don’t have a taste. YUM!
Haha I like how you said that’s pretty much your essential food groups!
Awesome!
I would have to say when someone is being outspoken or crazy silly they say “that’s so you!” to me.
Those look really good.
Hmm, the things that people would say are “so me” are my pink Converse and my Kashi TLC Dark Mocha Almond granola bar habit.
OH wow! Those look amazing! Anything that has to do with baking and cooking people think “is me.” I am the “mom” of all my groups of friends so any mommy type habits are also “me.”
That’s so you…is any event or festival that is really weird or crazy..I am all over it. This spring I want to go to a Renaissance fair…when I tell people that they say “you would”
I would say something that is very me would be eating mac n cheese with ketchup!:) I love that flavor mixed and have grown up eating it that way.. but my hubby thinks I’m crazy and that its gross but I have not heard of many others eating it like that..
Great post! hmmm….eating breakfeast for every meal and going to bed super early (earlier than my grandmother) haha
Those pancakes look amazing! I love sprinkles!
It’s so like ‘me’ to know too much about celebrities!
Well, I’d say sprinkles are “so me” too!
Probably also eating peanut butter straight from the jar, being super organized, and spoons (I have a weird spoon obsession).
Megan
hahaha…spoons are the best. Have you ever seen this video?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oecyWkaBiEE
Your blog is precious and oh so relatable! I saw it on the twentyfifth year and love reading about another 24 year old walking through life with her wits, spunk, spirit and faith
I make those pancakes a few weeks ago. They are amazing! Glad you got around to trying them. I’ll have to make them again soon!
Cake batter pancakes sound amazing! I definitely have to make some of those ASAP.
these make breaking up less hard.
Things that are me- top of the list would be daisies. If something has a daisy on it, there’s a good chance I’ll buy it.
Those pancakes look delicious. They’re now on my to-try recipe.
I have to say, since I started reading your blog, my appreciation for sprinkles has risen drastically.
oh my gosh.. YUMMMMM!!!!!!! love you girl, miss you!
These look so good! These are very ‘me ‘ ! Well anything PINK is pretty much me!
Yum, looks like funfetti cake. I don’t know what people would say is so me…maybe just thinks that define me as what makes me happy and what I NEED, like: being outside, books, exercise, etc.
And peanut butter for food!
Those cake batter pancakes look delicious! I have to try them. I really like how you took your pictures, too. People always tell me that red nail polish is “so me” and actually, yesterday my best friend told me that Giuliana Rancic’s personality is just like mine. Score!
I have to tell you, I really love your blog. You were recommended in my Twitter who to follow category, so I found your blog through there and I am so glad I did. I can’t wait to read on.
