how to shop like a boss.

Anyone can shop. Go to your local mall and you’ll find hundreds, maybe thousands of people moseying around with a Forever 21 bag in one hand and Jamba Juice in the other.

But if you’re looking to do some serious damage – I’m talking, mall madness style – you’ll need to take it up an extra notch.

For example, if you’re shopping for something(s) specific, it doesn’t hurt to make a list.

…like mine, which has been conveniently stored at the bottom of my purse for the past two weeks.

Next, be sure to dress accordingly. Your new patent pumps might look cute, but you won’t feel that way after circling the mall for what feels like four score miles.

For me, that means boots, leggings, long-sleeved tee. Bing, bang, boom.

Fuel wisely.

…because despite its deliciousness, no one wants to try on clothes when they have a Taco Bell hangover.

Try to stick to the list, which in my case was primarily work-friendly attire.

…then again, no one has to dress “professionally” all the time.

Are you a fan of shopping malls? Or do you prefer outlets/boutiques/etc.?
What’s your absolute favorite store?

I am not a fan of shopping malls. I prefer outlets or outdoor malls. I find that sales really motivate me because I am on such a budget. I often wait for the end of the season sale to stock up for next year. And I love the sale racks at Target. You can save a fortune!!!

forever 21 holds my heart <3

Great tips, Gracie! I tend to like shopping malls better only because there are a ton of my favorite stores in one central area. Outlets are always great when I’m looking for something specific though!

PS - Those pink heels are so cute! I love them! 😀

First of all, thank you for the Mall Madness shout out. Loved that game as a kid!! “There is a sale at the…record store.” Haha. Anyway, when it comes to shopping I do not discriminate. I’ll shop in malls, outlets, boutiques, and online. :) My all time favorite store is J. Crew. I’m in love.

First question: where in da WORLD did you find those brown leather boots? So cute, *drool* over good fashion sense.
Second question: where did you find that striped long-sleeve… bahaha tell me your secrets baby!

I have a tendency to window shop online and add things to my cart. However, I wait until they send me an email saying “Don’t forget about the items in your cart. Oh, and here’s a discount code and free shipping.” :)

I agree with the above post…where did you end up finding those boots/top??

I do prefer malls instead of boutiques but I always find that if I’m looking for something specific, I can never find it! I like to go to malls to just browse and look around. That’s usually when I find a treasure or a keeper!
